What skills and experience we're looking for

Pirehill is a local authority, two form entry first school, located in Stone, Staffordshire with 269 pupils currently on roll. The governors are seeking to recruit an outstanding leader who:

Pirehill First School is very much a Community School situated in the residential area of Walton, Stone. We are very fortunate in having beautiful, well maintained grounds which are used throughout the year to enhance our children’s learning, this includes our extremely popular Forest School which is accessed by all of our pupils. Our school is a joyful place of learning which offers a rich and varied curriculum both within and outside of the school day.
Our Ofsted inspection in May 2022 confirmed that we are a ‘good’ school and parents reported that the school is ‘exceptional’, ‘supportive’ with ‘kind and caring staff’.
At Pirehill, we pride ourselves in our excellent standards of teaching, pupil progress, attainment and behaviour. We strongly believe that every child has a right to reach their full potential and succeed in their own unique way, whether that is via sport or music, the arts, or by their own academic excellence.
