Headteacher job summary

Required for January or April 2022, the Governing Body are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated Headteacher who will be passionate about the education and welfare of our pupils and staff and build upon the strengths and achievements of the school. The successful applicant will be someone with outstanding ability, vision and potential, who would welcome the opportunity to prove themselves in the context of our school. This fantastic opportunity has arisen due to the impending retirement of our current Headteacher. We anticipate that our new Headteacher will recognise the school’s uniqueness, grow our philosophy for learning and will bring drive and energy to their new role within our school. They will need to demonstrate a strong vision that supports the school’s Christian ethos and values and our desire to create confident, independent lifelong learners of all those within our school community. The Governing Body are happy to consider Co-headship.

Commitment to safeguarding

Sir Robert Geffery’s School is committed to the highest level of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
