Headteacher job summary

We are looking for an inspiring, confident and experienced Headteacher to join Springfield Primary School, to lead our vibrant and values‑driven school community into its next exciting chapter.

Your opportunity

As a proven and experienced Headteacher, you will bring a track record of successful leadership along with the vision, creativity and drive to take our school into its next chapter. You will be an innovative, collaborative leader who lives and breathes our Springfield ACE values.

Springfield is a thriving two‑form‑entry primary school, complemented by a large, vibrant nursery for children aged 2 to 4, a dynamic learning centre offering a welcoming community hub, and an internal specialist unit supporting children with SEND. This rich ecosystem sits at the centre of our inclusive and nurturing ethos. Children’s wellbeing sits at the heart of every decision, supported by programmes such as ELSA, Thrive and Drawing and Talking. Our beautiful grounds, Forest School and allotment provide exceptional outdoor learning opportunities.

As part of GLF Schools, Springfield benefits from strong collaboration across a large multi‑academy trust, sharing expertise, resources and best practice. We are proud to sit at the heart of our local community, working closely with families to create the best possible climate for learning.

We welcome empathetic, emotionally intelligent candidates driven by a clear moral purpose and a passion for supporting children and young people. The successful candidate will lead by example, empower teams, and serve as a role model for staff and pupils alike. At GLF Schools, we strive for an inclusive environment where staff and children are comfortable expressing their own identity, should they wish, in which diversity and inclusion is of mutual benefit for everyone. We particularly welcome applicants from under-represented groups including those based on race, sex, gender reassignment, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion/belief.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large Multi Academy Trust that comprises 43 schools (Primary and Secondary) across the Southeast of England with a large central team of talented and passionate specialists.

Join the GLF Schools Community

As a part of GLF Schools, you will join a community of staff dedicated to transforming education. With regular progression discussions, there will be a wealth of opportunities for you to grow your career, whether in one of our 43 academies or in our central team.
