Our School
St Alban's is Ipswich’s premier Catholic secondary school and sixth form, serving 1,050 students within the Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust. Our recently enhanced campus features modern sixth form facilities, and refurbished learning spaces that provide an exceptional environment for teaching and learning.

The Role
This pivotal leadership position calls for a visionary Catholic educator who will:
- Embody and promote our Catholic ethos, where "Domine ut Serviam" guides all that we do
- Build upon our strong foundations to lead the school to even greater heights of academic and spiritual excellence
- Inspire and develop our dedicated staff team
- Foster the holistic growth of all students, regardless of background
- Collaborate strategically with Trust leadership to strengthen our wider Catholic education community
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an exceptional leader who:
- Is a practising Catholic with a deep commitment to Catholic education
- Brings significant senior leadership experience, either as a current Headteacher or an outstanding Deputy Head ready for progression
- Demonstrates a firm, fair and open leadership style
- Possesses the vision to deliver excellent, inclusive education with exciting opportunities for all
- Can translate strategic vision into practical improvement plans with clear success criteria
- Values collaboration and partnership within the wider Trust community
