What skills and experience we're looking for
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead a truly exceptional school. Our current
Headteacher, who has been inspirational and instrumental in shaping our vision and
working alongside Trust colleagues to design a state-of-the-art free school, will be
retiring at the end of August 2026.
We need an ambitious leader to join The Trinity School, part of the dynamic and
supportive Alpha Trust. The successful candidate will lead a school where students thrive,
developing the skills, character, and confidence to achieve success both at school and
beyond.

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students to the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
