What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governing Board are looking for a committed and practising Catholic who: • As a practising Catholic, demonstrates a strong faith and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school and its community. • Is aspirational in approach to the quality of teaching and learning and of the achievement and well being of every child and will inspire our children, our parents and the whole of the staff team on the next stage of our journey. • Be a role model who inspires and motivates others through their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to raising standards. • Be an experienced leader with the interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with staff, children, parents, parish and governors. • Is an engaging and hardworking individual, able to collaborate with parents, staff, governors, the parish and wider community in providing opportunities for all pupils. • Be a highly effective leader who can manage and organise the personnel, financial and professional needs of the school’s resources and staff.

Following the retirement of our long serving headteacher, the governors of St Alban’s
Catholic Primary School, in partnership with Shrewsbury Diocese and OLHoC Catholic
Academy Trust, are seeking to appoint an inspirational, supportive and innovative
Headteacher to inspire us in the next phase of our journey.
