We are looking for an inspirational leader who will ensure that St. Joseph’s continues to provide broad and rich learning experiences for our students that are rooted in Gospel values.
This role is suitable for someone who is excited about leading our school through the next stage of development, with the aim of providing an Outstanding Education for all pupils. Applications from new and experienced school leaders who are practising Catholics with proven management skills and a clear vision for Catholic Education are welcome.
We are seeking a Headteacher who will:
- Inspire, challenge and motivate staff to maintain and develop powerful teaching and learning;
- Bring experience of focussed, successful and sustained school improvement;
- Work closely with our Academy Council in the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of pupils’ progress, attainment and wellbeing;
- Be a committed member of the Senior Leadership Team of our Trust; and,
- Work collaboratively with the Trust team, as well as local and Diocesan heads, to ensure high standards of attainment, and to sustain and develop the school’s Catholic Ethos.
We can offer you a great deal. There are plenty of things in place already. These include:
- Children with a thirst for knowledge who are eager to learn;
- Parents who are keen to support their children’s learning;
- A nurturing, caring staff who are focussed on school improvement, who thrive under clear direction, critical friendship and support;
- Governors who understand the importance of their role and who are actively working to help make the school the best it can be;
- A thriving Parish Community who are eager to be involved with the life of the school; and
- The opportunity to develop leadership across the Trust and the wider community.
As part of the Bishop Wheeler Trust you will be joining a successful and dedicated group of senior leaders who work collaboratively across all our schools within the Diocese of Leeds. Each school is also part of local and Diocesan partnerships.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, please arrange to do so by emailing the school office at bursar@st-josephs-barlick.lancs.sch.uk.
The Trust reserves the right to close the vacancy for applications or withdraw the vacancy at any time at its absolute discretion.
