Do you hold the belief that every pupil has the right to an extraordinary education?
Following the retirement of our long-standing headteacher, we are seeking an ambitious, inspirational and values‑driven leader to guide the next chapter of St. Peter’s Droitwich C. of E. Academy - a thriving, nurturing school rooted in Christian distinctiveness and community spirit.
As part of The Rivers C. of E. Academy Trust, St. Peter’s is a large, vibrant three‑form entry first school at the heart of Droitwich Spa. We are proud of our exceptional pupils, strong staff team and great relationships with our families and wider community. Our school continues to flourish, with Ofsted judging us ‘Good’ (2024) and SIAMS awarding us ‘Excellent’ (2022).
As our new headteacher, you will be at the heart of this community - leading with integrity, compassion and professional purpose. You will confidently articulate and champion our shared mission and vision, inspiring others so that every pupil can flourish academically, socially and spiritually and grow into extraordinary people.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to make a profound impact. You will shape the future of a well‑respected school with strong foundations, ensuring Christian values continue to underpin every aspect of school life while driving excellence in teaching, learning and leadership.
This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to:
•Join a dynamic, mission-driven trust with a proven record of school improvement and innovation.
•Be part of a supportive, collaborative network where professional growth and shared best practice are celebrated.
•Access structured career development and dedicated professional development time.
We are looking for a leader who will:
•Champion high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every child’s potential is recognised, nurtured and realised.
•Foster a culture of care, inclusion and mutual respect where all members of the community feel valued.
•Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders and contribute to shaping and further developing our distinctive Christian ethos.
•Have courage, commitment and is excited by the opportunity to bring new ideas, nurture a culture of collaboration and to develop extraordinary futures of our pupils.
If you are passionate about leading a community where every child can thrive, St. Peter’s could be the perfect next step in your leadership journey.

St. Peter’s Droitwich C. of E. Academy is a thriving, three‑form‑entry Church of England first school set in the picturesque historic market town of Droitwich Spa. As part of The Rivers C. of E. Academy Trust, we proudly champion our shared mission to provide ‘an extraordinary education for every pupil’ and create a nurturing, ambitious environment where all children can flourish.
We are an inclusive Church of England school that warmly welcomes children and families of Christian faith, other faiths and none. Our invitational approach to worship brings our community together, encouraging pupils and adults to explore faith, purpose and what it means to live well with one another. Respectful relationships, kindness and compassion shape our daily life.
Our vision, inspired by the words, “God chooses ordinary people to do extraordinary things”, reflects our deeply held belief that every child has unique strengths, talents and limitless potential. St Peter, our school saint, reminds us that extraordinary courage and character can be found in everyday moments – and this inspires our culture, curriculum and community.
At St. Peter’s, we place children firmly at the centre of everything we do. High expectations, exceptional teaching, strong pastoral care and inclusive practice combine to ensure that every child can grow, academically and personally.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, promote independence and celebrate creativity, equipping pupils to become confident learners who embrace challenge. We enrich our pupils’ experience through opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
