Belmont Primary School is a small, rural school situated on the outskirts of Blackburn and Bolton, with easy access to all that both town and countryside can offer.
The Governors are looking to appoint an inspirational school leader as our Headteacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, ambitious person who has a passion for education and teaching with the drive, experience and aspiration to continue and extend the school’s considerable success.
We are looking for someone who:
 Is committed to continuing to nurture our pupils’ passion for lifelong learning.
 Has a proven record of excellent classroom teaching and leadership practice and the ability to promote outstanding teaching throughout school
 Has the confidence and ability to take a leading role in continued, whole school improvement
 Is able to develop our inclusive, distinctive curriculum, with its focus on creativity, the Arts and individuality to develop happy, confident children.
 Has excellent communication skills, who will inspire and develop the staff team, and have an open and supportive approach
 A proven track record of working successfully in partnership with governors, staff, parents, other schools and the local community.
 Will take an active part in all aspects of school life
 Has a positive outlook on life and a good sense of humour
