What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an inspirational leader, who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to make a difference. They should be committed to our school vision of ''Anything is possible.''


At our last Ofsted inspection published June 2022, we were judged a 'Good' School with 'Outstanding' for Personal Development.

Our current Headteacher will be reducing her hours to 3 days per week and we are looking to recruit a dynamic leader, to work with her, to continue and support the excellent work that has been done so far.

Our new headteacher will:

Be a highly experienced leader with a proven track record of school improvement

Be passionate about the positive impact of an ambitious and rich curriculum on outcomes for children

Share in our ambition for every child to achieve their very best regardless of the complexity of their needs

Have the skills to lead, motivate and inspire by being a visible leader

Water Mill Primary School serves the communities of Selly Oak and Harborne.
