Located in the heart of the picturesque village of Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire, Waterbeach Community Primary School is central to a thriving and growing community. As the village population has expanded rapidly, so too has our school, now accommodating 500 pupils. With most year groups being three form entry, we take pride in fostering a warm, welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment. In March 2025 the school was inspected by Ofsted and remained as a ‘good’ school.

What skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and the ability to lead school improvement priorities
  • Has high expectations, with the drive, ambition, and focus to ensure both employees and pupils have the opportunity to succeed
  • Demonstrates significant recent experience in deputy/headship with proven strong leadership experience in a primary school
  • Displays professional dedication, commitment, and resilience
  • Can effectively deploy the school's resources and budget to maximise the impact of learning and development for all children.
