Long Road Sixth Form College is a thriving, successful post-16 Sixth Form College with 2,600 students on roll across a variety of studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful and expanding city of Cambridge. Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good or Outstanding in all five categories at its most recent inspection in February 2025.

In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. You will investigate workplace incidents and near-misses and report accordingly, provide safety induction to new employees, and act as the point of contact for Fire Service and maintain updated evacuation procedures.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum three years’ experience in an Health and Safety Role, strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, and a relevant qualification such as NEBOSH or OSHA. You will be confident and willing to lead by example, being hands on as require. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management are essential to successfully perform in this role.

A good standard of general fitness is required due to the layout and design of buildings, which requires significant walking and climbing of stairs
