What skills and experience we're looking for

We are excited to offer this opportunity to work as a Healthcare Assistant within our school working with our wonderful young people. In this role you work alongside external stakeholders and create, follow and deliver agreed plans to help our fantastic students to thrive. You will be part of a mixed skills team working with attendance, SENDCos, safeguarding and Inclusion staff offering domestic care, supporting the general welfare of pupils in respect of personal hygiene programmes and using specialist equipment at mealtimes where necessary.

We can demonstrate our warm and empathetic approach to our young people and strive to create a sense of belonging in our community. You will build on this success and take us to the next level, working closely with the SEND teams and senior leadership at the academy you work in. We need your experience of transforming pupils’ lives through enabling them to achieve their true potential at both KS3 & 4.

Working in our academy you will become one of the 'family' and whilst we particularly welcome applicants with experience of working with children and young people, it is more important that you have a child centred approach in working with our very special children as a full programme of training and development will be provided for all successful candidates. You must be able to have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to manage your time effectively. Having the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is essential. We are looking for someone with a passion for working in education and working with young people, dedicated to building a strong relationship with students with medical needs and providing the highest level of care and support. Our pupils thrive when they are supported by those colleagues who possess a good sense of humour and approachable personality. If this role appeals to you, the chances are that you will be a proactive individual with a warm and nurturing approach with students and be comfortable assisting with their personal care. Our academies offer a high quality of education for our students and excellent career progression and training for staff. Our driving ambition is ‘Students First: Raising Standards and Transforming Lives’ and we are sure you are an inspiring colleague with real vision and passion – and the drive and determination to make things happen.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our Family of Schools and work with us to continue improving the lives of our students.
