Alexandra Park Junior School

Alexandra Park Junior School, based in Glodwick, Oldham, has more than 350 pupils with three forms in each year group. Our vision is simple: ‘To Learn, Be Happy and Achieve Our Best’.

We recognise that every child is a unique member of our school community. We are a happy school where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their best, developing their full potential both academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Our school has a warm family feel and a sense of belonging for everyone who joins our community. We have a strong training and CPD programme (supported by The Pinnacle Learning Trust Research School), opportunities to develop your skills, and a solid, supportive team of staff who have fostered a caring and welcoming atmosphere at the school. We are proud of our strong links to the local community.

Teaching in primary education offers an incredibly rewarding career where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and make a difference. Yet, males remain unrepresented in the primary sector. We are proud to champion diversity and encourage all individuals to consider a career in primary teaching. By sharing experiences of male primary teachers we aim to challenge stereotypes and show that primary teaching is a profession where everyone can thrive. Our colleagues underpin our mission and values, sharing high expectations and collaborative opportunities through supportive networks. We genuinely care about each other and the real difference we can make to pupils’ futures, and we want to recruit hard-working, conscientious and self-motivated staff who share our vision.

You can get a feel for the passion we have at Alexandra Park Junior School School through our website, but please do organise to come in and meet us in person. That’s the best way to get a sense of the dynamic and broad education that our children are enjoying and what your future at Alexandra Park Junior School can be.
