We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated HLTA join our academy, to support pupils and to ensure that every child succeeds.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work
- Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement and progress as directed
Pay range: NJC SCP 19-23 £28,161.69-£30,246.08 (FTE £32,061.00-£34,434.00)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a primary school setting
- Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
- Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
- Level 4 | HLTA qualification and or relevant experience
