Springwell Learning Community is the umbrella name for Springwell Special Academy and Springwell Alternative Academy. Springwell Special Academy provides cross-phase education for Barnsley children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

THE ROLE
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will be supporting outstanding progress in learning. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future.
This will include working under the guidance of a teacher/ phase lead to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
- Supporting and leading lessons
- Preparing and planning resources
- Completing pupil records
- Covering absent colleagues as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
- Level 3 Qualification
- HLTA Qualification would be desirable, or the willingness to achieve this within 2 years
- Experience working with children/ young people
- Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships
SALARY/ HOURS
Starting salary for a HLTA is £27,879 annual salary, working 33 hours per week.
This role is Mon-Fri, term time only + 5 inset days.
