We are seeking a committed and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the dedicated team at Byron Wood Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, helping to ensure that every child achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of a teacher
- Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons
- Provide targeted intervention and support to pupils to improve outcomes
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and purposeful learning environment
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment activities where required
What We Are Looking For
- A qualified HLTA or an experienced teaching assistant ready to take the next step
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to lead learning confidently and manage whole-class situations
- A proactive and flexible approach, with strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting every child to succeed
