We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team with teaching and support staff
  • Has the sense of humour, character and personality to engage with our pupils, staff and community.

Marlcliffe is a large and very popular primary school and serves an area including Hillsborough and Wadsley on the North West edge of the City of Sheffield. Our pupils come from a broad range of social and economic backgrounds. The standard admission number is currently 75 and there are 478 children on role. The behaviour and attitude of our children is good. We have good attendance and children are confident, keen to come to school and enjoy learning. We offer our children a wide range of additional activities at lunchtimes and after school. From September 2026 there will be sixteen classes from Foundation Stage to Year 6 and the school has a wealth of additional learning spaces including a library area, ART/DT room complete with food technology equipment, a large hall space with stage, lighting and sound system, an all weather pitch, secret garden area, and a dedicated PPA working space. The Governing Body support professional development and the school provide training opportunities for all staff. There is a strong sense of teamwork throughout the school and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.
