Full time: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (18 hours per week) General Learning Support Assistant (10 hours per week) (A full-time post, split into two roles)

HLTA (£16.62 per hour)/LSA (£13.05 per hour)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Our OFSTED rated ‘good’ school, is looking for a highly skilled HLTA to provide cover across KS1 and KS2, both planned and unplanned. The candidate would require to have knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculums and demonstrate a good understanding of the grammar and mathematics taught at these levels. Across the week there will be hours dedicated to each role, but with the flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of the school.

  • demonstrate good listening and questioning skills
  • have the ability to challenge and support pupils learning
  • have a commitment to active learning
  • are able to demonstrate a good use of initiative
  • are able to take on others’ ideas
  • are able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the ever changing school day
  • have GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • have knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and end of the key stage expectations

This skilled role will enable a child to unlock their learning and become confident learners – a privileged position indeed.
