What skills and experience we're looking for
Our OFSTED rated ‘good’ school, is looking for a highly skilled HLTA to provide cover across KS1 and KS2, both planned and unplanned. The candidate would require to have knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculums and demonstrate a good understanding of the grammar and mathematics taught at these levels. Across the week there will be hours dedicated to each role, but with the flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of the school.

- have proven HLTA experience
- demonstrate good listening and questioning skills
- have the ability to challenge and support pupils learning
- have a commitment to active learning
- are able to demonstrate a good use of initiative
- are able to take on others’ ideas
- are able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the ever changing school day
- have GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- have knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and end of the key stage expectations
This skilled role will enable a child to unlock their learning and become confident learners – a privileged position indeed.
