Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
Join Ark St Alban's Academy as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and play a pivotal role in helping every student achieve their potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate education professional to provide specialist support to pupils, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers to raise achievement across the curriculum.
As a HLTA, you will lead 1:1 and small-group learning programmes, support pupils with SEND and EAL needs, contribute to lesson planning and assessment, and help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where all students can thrive. You will also support whole-class learning, deliver activities planned by teachers, monitor progress, and provide valuable feedback to help shape future teaching and interventions.
Beyond the classroom, you will act as a specialist lead within the school, share best practice with colleagues, contribute to enrichment activities and educational visits, and play an important role in promoting students' wellbeing, independence and confidence. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to transforming outcomes for young people and believes that every child deserves an excellent education, regardless of their background.
