Caister Primary Federation is a group of two coastal schools and a special resource base providing education for primary school children aged 2 to 11 years.

We are looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support groups of pupils across both our schools within class & intervention groups. Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the teaching team to support planning and managing resources and raising standards in learning.

This is a superb opportunity to join a federation which is thriving and forward looking. It is a pleasure to work with the children and staff at these schools where the curriculum is lively, exciting, and challenging. We are looking for a candidate with some primary teaching experience who shares our vision of high standards of learning within a creative and nurturing environment. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is hoping to progress to a career in teaching.

This post would suit someone who really wants to make a difference in the classroom.

We would welcome applications from an individual who:

  • can use their own initiative.
  • communicates with skill, confidence and authenticity, with children and adults alike.
  • has a contagious enthusiasm for learning and has practice that engages children by stimulating their imagination and curiosity
  • is highly resilient and shows a proactive, solution-focussed approach to personal and professional development.
  • can act effectively as part of a team.
  • brings a strong work ethic, proven teamwork and an excellent sense of humour to our vibrant school community.
  • is committed to ensuring the right of every child to be included, accepted, and valued for their strengths and contributions.
  • has good interpersonal and organisational skill

Our federation offers:

  • Supportive, effective and friendly staff
  • Confident, enthusiastic children who enjoy learning
  • Forward thinking approaches to learning, professional development and school improvement
  • Positive relationships with parents and the wider community
  • A large and supportive team – with the opportunity to work within small and large schools

Applicants are invited and encouraged to tour the schools and discuss the role with our Deputy Headteacher, Gemma Cambridge (email: gcambridge@cpfed.org), and should complete their application by the deadline.
