What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to lead our new SEND Hub, in partnership with a team of teaching assistants, who will be responsible for supporting up to 5 children with special needs.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and their inclusion in the classroom and school community.
- Can demonstrate vision, resilience and empathy.
- Relate to children with patience, kindness, firmness and good humour.
- Have high standards and expectations of themselves enabling children to make excellent progress, whatever their starting point or situation.
- Will build excellent relationships with children and work with teachers to meet their individual needs
- Will develop and maintain excellent relationships with parents and carers to ensure that children are fully supported and able to enjoy and achieve
- Are self-motivated and energetic
