Are you an experienced and enthusiastic teaching professional who is passionate about helping every child thrive?

We are looking for a committed and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in supporting teaching and learning, working alongside colleagues to inspire pupils, raise achievement and create positive learning experiences.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and colleagues to support high-quality learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
  • Leading whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils to achieve their academic, social and emotional potential.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers to assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Delivering targeted interventions to help pupils make strong progress.
  • Supporting the inclusion and engagement of pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Playing an active role in the wider life and community of the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and who can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. You will:

  • Hold HLTA status, or have an equivalent qualification and relevant experience.
  • Have recent experience of working within a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • Be confident in inspiring, motivating and engaging young learners.
  • Show initiative, flexibility and a commitment to high standards.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
