- £18,819.00 - £20,109.00 Annually (Actual) 3.5 days/week. Mon , Weds & Fri 8.40am -4.10pm, Thurs 1pm-4.10pm, plus 10% PPA. This is a fixed term, term-time only contract until the end of the academic year with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. Candidates will be considered on application and the vacancy may close early should a suitable candidate be found.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
As an HLTA you will be required to plan the lessons you are delivering and will therefore, be given time to plan these sessions. Training and guidance will be given to ensure you have an understanding of the National Curriculum requirements and the how to plan and deliver successful lessons.
This role would require you to cover lessons for sickness or absence and allow leaders to have their additional leadership time.
You may be required to teach across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and will need a good level of English and Maths to ensure children are taught the correct information. You will have a growing knowledge of Rosenshine's 10 Principals of Instruction that underpin the way we deliver the curriculum and more training in these principals will be given to you during the year.
You will also have excellent communication skills in order to promote a whole school ethos and culture where all staff support children to develop tools and techniques to remove their barriers to learning, and become the best possible version of themselves.
This is an exciting role and will allow our school to move forward with delivering a curriculum which equips children with the skills to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world.
