Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
32.5 hours per week. Term Time Only
We are looking for an experienced, friendly and positive Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a can-do attitude to join our Early Years team.
The successful candidate will
- have significant experience of working with and supervising children in an Early Years setting
- have experience of supporting children with SEN and EAL, promoting the inclusion of all children within the classroom
- contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities
- attend to the day to day needs of children, inside and outside the classroom, in line with good practice and school and trust policies.
- take responsibility for delivering learning activities with groups who would benefit from a different learning approach as agreed with the class teacher.
- establish and maintain supportive relationships with individual pupils, whole class groups, parents/carers, other key staff and external professionals.
- be keen to learn and willing to act on feedback
- enjoy working as part of a hard-working, committed team
- demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
- inspire, motivate and encourage children
- use initiative and be self-motivated
