Crofton Infant School are looking for a motivated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work in EYFS and KS1.
Key Purpose:
You will provide cover during teacher training, PPA time or staff absence. You will also ensure that the children are supported to behave in a thoughtful, responsible and considerate manner.
The successful applicant will:
- Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement and good behaviour
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement
- Lead whole class learning during the assigned teacher’s PPA time
- Provide cover during teacher absence using provided planning
- Be versatile and flexible with their duties.
- Support the teacher to enable all pupils to make progress during lessons
- Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
- Provide feedback to teachers
