Key responsibilities:
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work
- Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement and progress as directed
Pay range: SP 19-23 £ £11,077.36 - £11,897.10 (FTE £31,067-£33,366)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a primary school setting
- Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
- Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
- TA3 qualification or relevant experience
