Fonthill Primary Academy is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly

and supportive staff team. We are looking for an HLTA to complement the work of teachers by taking

agreed teaching and learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning

activities for individuals and groups. You may also be involved in monitoring students and assessing,

recording and reporting on students’ achievement, progress and development as agreed with the

teacher.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate, excellent communication and listening skills, the ability

to work collaboratively with teachers and others, and a genuine interest and belief that all students can

achieve. You will need to be organised and have experience of working with vulnerable children and

those with SEND.
