What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an exceptional HLTA candidate who:

  • Will be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated to prepare and deliver lessons to individuals, groups and whole classes as regular PPA cover across the school
  • Has relevant HLTA or equivalent qualifications
  • Will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole curriculum planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources
  • Will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion
  • Has the ability to encourage every child to learn, aspire and achieve
  • Has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference.

Kewstoke Primary School is a ‘Good School’ (June 2018) situated in the popular seaside town of Weston-super-Mare within easy reach of the M5 and routes to Bristol and the South West. Kewstoke is a smaller than average sized primary school with four classes, including a nursery, set in a rural area with beautiful surrounding countryside. 

This role is suitable for an enthusiastic individual who is able to engage with the pupils. You must be a team player who is able to go out of your way to contribute to other areas of the school and you must have a high expectation of your work rate and the school itself.

The successful candidates will be part of a strong and supportive team. Applications are welcomed from NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers.

• be inspirational, creative, flexible and enthusiastic
