The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for PE and Sports at Greenside Primary School, Greenside Lane, Droylsden, M43 7RA.

With an actual salary - £25,724-£27,944 (Grade F Point 17-22).
Greenside Primary School are seeking to appoint a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our well-established sports team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality sporting activities and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for children. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about sport and committed to supporting the physical and emotional development of young people through teamwork, encouragement, and active engagement.
The purpose of the HLTA for PE and Sport at Greenside Primary School is to inspire and support children in developing a lifelong love for physical activity, while enhancing their physical, social, and emotional well-being. Through structured lessons and extracurricular activities, the coach helps pupils improve their motor skills, coordination, and fitness, while promoting values such as teamwork, perseverance, and fair play. The role also contributes to pupils’ overall development by encouraging confidence, discipline, and positive behaviour both on and off the field.
To be effective in this role, the HLTA for PE and Sport must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and engage young children. They should have a solid understanding of child development and be able to adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities. Key skills include planning and delivering safe, inclusive, and enjoyable sessions, managing groups effectively, and maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment. Experience of working with hard-to-reach young people or diverse communities or targeted groups is essential as well as experience of running competitions, events and activities.
A recognised coaching qualification and knowledge of safeguarding practices are also essential. A minimum of a National Governing Body Coaching Qualification (Level 2) and desirably other coaching qualifications and experience in a variety of sports will be required for this role.

The proposed timescale for the selection and interview process is as follows:
