What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced staff in a highly successful Special Education
Needs (SEN) department in a mainstream secondary setting.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA to work closely with other specialist staff
to devise and deliver child centred provision to students and to work with a team to develop the
inclusive practices across the College. This role will have a focus on literacy and speech, language and
communications needs (SCLN) but will enable the successful candidate to gain experience of working
with a wide range of students with SEN.
We are interested in receiving applications from individuals with experience of working with literacy
difficulties and SCLN or who have a particular interest in that area that they would like to develop. The
College has a specialist autism facility and so relevant experience of working with autistic student in the
mainstream system would be highly valued.
The successful candidate should hold a HLTA qualification or be willing to work towards those standards
based on previous experience working in a relevant role.
