Manorfield Infant and Nursery School is a large infant school in the centre of Staincliffe, Batley, delivering a great education for children aged between 2 and 7 years old. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with exceptional ability to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and young people.
The post holder will be vital in helping learners to build independence, stay focused and engaged in the tasks and lessons, help explain different tasks and activities, assist with a wide range of classroom and school-based activities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, working with small groups or individual learners to provide targeted support, and assisting with classroom management.
The successful candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed-upon learning activities. This will involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for learners, monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on their progress and development, and leading the classroom in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning.
You will also collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individual plans for learners with special educational needs. Your goal is to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive, be included and be accepted.
