Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary
Term-Time + Training Days. Part Time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 16:30.
To support us to achieve our ongoing goals and the very best for our children, we are now seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our amazing team. In this role you will be supporting our teachers in providing high quality teaching and covering classroom teaching when required. Experience providing classroom cover is essential for this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for small group interventions when not providing classroom cover teaching.
You will be joining a high performing team which delivers an exciting, creative and inclusive curriculum both inside and outside the classroom. We create a community where children are empowered to unlock their full potential and one which celebrates independence, tolerance, success and excellence. Keeping our children safe and happy is essential.

About You
To be a good fit for this role, you will be:
- Hold (or be working towards) a HLTA Qualification (or have QTS)
- Have previous experience of working successfully with children and young people and with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, either in a paid or voluntary position
- Have experience of leading whole-class sessions (required for HLTA level) and delivering evidenced based interventions and accelerated learning
- Have working knowledge of a child’s development and learning processes, understanding that all children have differing needs and knowledge of how to apply inclusive practice
- Be someone who has energy, positivity and a commitment to putting children at the heart of everything you do
