Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

The successful candidate will be expected to work across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role includes covering classes, planning and delivering interventions as well as general HLTA duties such as undertaking lunchtime supervision and working with individuals, groups or the whole class in lesson.

We are looking for a HLTA who can:

Plan for the teaching and learning of whole classes and/or individual pupils on a short, medium and long-term basis.

Co-ordinate the monitoring, recording and assessment of pupil progress, arranging and contributing to specialist assessments as required.

Contribute to the planning of lessons and work programmes, the devising of activities and target setting.

We are looking for a HLTA who is/has:

The ability to inspire and challenge pupils to reach their full potential

A proven track record of delivering high quality interventions

Committed, energetic and flexible

Able to plan independently and adapt planning and teaching to meet the needs of pupils

Able to supervise classes when required

Positive, enthusiastic and a real team player
