What skills and experience we're looking for
Demonstrate the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards.
Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Support children consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
Teaching whole classes across the school.
Liaise with the SENDCo, Inclusion Manager and class teachers to deliver activities to support pupils’ learning and provide feedback on impact.
Model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
Have recent, relevant and successful experience in a primary school setting supporting children with Autism, or other learning needs.
Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
Want to make a real difference.
Utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals.
Be a team player of strong character.
Have the ability and passion to motivate and make learning interesting and relevant to children.
Have high expectations of children’s achievements and a desire to promote high standards.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
Undertake first aid training and other relevant CPD.
Excellent attendance and punctuality record.

The qualifications required are:
GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent) – essential.

We are a very successful school based in Custom House in the London Borough of Newham, very close to the DLR and the Excel Exhibition Centre.
We provide an engaging, exciting and relevant education for all of our children and they love coming to school. Rosetta Primary School was recently placed in the top 1% of schools in the country for the progress that the children make whilst at our school; this is a fantastic achievement and one that we are extremely proud of.
We have taken the time to write our own curriculum which we believe is exciting and relevant; it also enthuses and engages our children at the same time as providing them with the values, skills and knowledge to give them a good start in life and to prepare them for their future. Although we understand the importance of academic achievement, and have high expectations for this, we also place great importance on our children's happiness and well-being and have a brilliant pastoral provision; we are a happy school!
