Experience

BSL Level 2

Experience of working with children with complex special educational needs

Significant experience working with young children

Experience in leading small groups/whole class

Working closely with others as part of a team

Experience of managing behaviour effectively

Skills, Attributes and Knowledge

Experience of developing Literacy and Numeracy

Ability to demonstrate skills and qualities required to support individual students

Skills and knowledge to deal with student safety and behaviour

Ability to work with teacher to plan lessons

Marshland High School are seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who specialises in complex needs & hearing loss.To support a named pupil & take a lead role alongside a one-to-one teacher with the implementation of the individual pupils support plan to ensure that the school is meeting the specific needs of the pupil and supporting the pupil in lessons following a differentiated curriculum.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in British Sign Language , Level 2 who is passionate about promoting independence, inclusion, acceptance and equality.
