Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our support team at Holland Junior School. This is a term time only role (including working INSET day), working Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. We are looking for someone with experiences as a HLTA or cover supervisor. This may also be a role suitable for a highly experienced teaching assistant who has aspirations to be a cover supervisor or HLTA.
Main objectives of the post:
- Being a good to outstanding classroom teaching assistant working with pupils in class.
- To cover classes as required, including the marking of work (we use a live marking approach).
- Planning for and delivering interventions to support groups of pupils to make accelerated progress.
- Supporting pupils at breaktime and lunchtime.
