About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our school team, working within our Resource Provision supporting children with a range of SEND. The ideal candidate will support and deliver high-quality education through the effective creation, organisation, and management of learning resources tailored to our pupils' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and delivery of learning materials and resources to enhance student engagement and progress.
Develop, organise, and manage educational resources to support curriculum requirements across different subjects.
Planning lessons and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of pupils, with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Work with small groups or individuals to provide targeted support and facilitate learning.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to inform planning.
Contribute to behaviour management and safeguarding policies, ensuring a supportive and safe learning environment.
Maintain learning spaces ensuring materials are accessible, organised, and aligned with teaching plans.
Collaborate with teaching and support staff to identify resource needs and opportunities for improvement.
Person Specification:
Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably in resource provision.
Experience of working with high need pupils.
Ability to create and adapt educational materials effectively.
Strong understanding of curriculum and different learning needs.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
