What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
Hold a relevant HLTA training qualification or equivalent experience
Have good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and maths
Have excellent classroom practice and the knowledge and understanding to support student progress
Teach and mark whole class lessons
Be able to challenge and support children of all abilities across the curriculum
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
Be resilient and have a solution focused approach
Be prepared to cover teach planned absences as well as sickness at short notice in addition to regular timetabled teaching support

Further details about the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent, motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within the Learning Support team. The successful candidate will be working to support all students in the classroom, run structured interventions as required, organise and test students in Year 7 for access arrangements and support teachers with the requirements of access arrangements and evidencing normal ways of working.
