What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our schools support team.Reporting to your Phase Lead, you will be responsible for working with teachers to organise andsupport teaching and learning activities for classes. The primary focus is to undertake specified workwith individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.

The successful candidate must meet HLTA standards or equivalent qualification/experience, have a NVQ Level 3 Qualification in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent and must have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English A*-C. You also need a minimum of three years’ experience working with children and experience of working in a relevant classroom environment, as well as supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

You will need be able to obtain satisfactory DBS clearance for this position.

Based in the centre of Liverpool, our school, sponsored by The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, opened in September 2014.

We are an all-through school that provides children with a broad and balanced curriculum and have a particular focus on the creative and performing arts. We currently have 585 children from Reception to Year 10. In September 2025, the school will be at capacity with Reception to Year 11.
