Higher Level Teaching Assistant (level 4) job summary

The role

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting early identification and intervention for children with SEND. You will work directly with children, families, and early years settings to support the delivery of specialist teaching, provide expert advice, and promote inclusive practice. This will be in early years settings, children centres, schools and family homes.

This is a varied and rewarding role combining hands-on intervention, advisory work and supporting training delivery.

About you

  • We are looking for an experienced education practitioner who:
  • Has experience in early years SEND (including working with children with a range of SEND needs)
  • Can support, develop, and inspire others
  • Has an understanding of child development, inclusion, and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Has experience of SEND-related interventions
  • Is committed to co-production with families and multi-agency collaboration

A sense of humour and the ability to build strong relationships quickly are essential in this role.
