‘Working to Learn Together’
Here at Newby & Scalby Primary School we provide a vibrant and inspirational setting and due to our popularity our catchment area covers right across Scarborough town and beyond.
Our learning environment, outcomes and curriculum that is offered to our 419 children is second to none and we are a school with low staff turnover and high staff retention.
Our ethos is very much about our community ‘working to learn together’ and our staff are our greatest resource. We have invested in both our teaching and support staff teams which has placed us in a good position with regards to current educational challenges.
As the founding primary member of the Coast and Vale Learning Trust we are working closely with our sister school Friarage Primary as we share learning and build a primary hub our coastal area can be proud of. With access to the Teaching Alliance, based at Scalby School, we continue to rightly place staff development, training and resources at the heart of our journey.
