Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Numeracy) job summary
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Numeracy) to join its dynamic Learning Support Team. The role would be suited to someone who has a clear understanding of the secondary curriculum for Maths and Numeracy skills, with specific expertise in delivering interventions to low numeracy learners, students with special educational needs or other vulnerable learners, to boost attainment and progress.
This position is 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 Inset Days. Required from 01 September 2020 until 31 August 2021.
Our school has become a 'virtual school' to reflect the current temporary school closure. However, we still need to prepare for September. We are looking to fill vacancies as our school continues to grow. Interviews will be held virtually rather than at our school premises.
The role requires an ambitious, resilient personality with good communication skills, who will work effectively within the Learning Support Team and with teachers and parents. It will involve working with mainstream students with a wide range of learning barriers, delivering numeracy interventions to groups or on an individual basis to improve attainment and progress.
