Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – 32.5 hours, term time only - Grade 7; £27,803 - £31,364 pro rata, per annum

Fixed term for the academic year of 2024-25 (2nd September 2024 to 22nd July 2025), this may be extended depending on funding.

The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA to join our team at Oakfield Lodge School. The post holder will be working with students to improve outcomes in various subjects.

Have you got experience of managing challenging behaviour in young people in secondary education?

Are you confident, determined and motivated to provoke a positive approach to learning and a positive view of self and others

Do you work efficiently, effectively and remain calm, consistent and solution focused under pressure?

The successful candidates will work with our students to help improve behaviour choices and remove barriers to learning. The successful candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence.
