What skills and experience we're looking for

We require an Outdoor Learning/Forest School HLTA Band 4 as soon as possible. This is a fixed term position as part of the further development of outdoor learning within the school.

Your role will be outdoors the vast majority of the day. You will be planning and leading sessions and ensuring that you plan for children’s individual curiosities, liaising with the classroom teams about the children’s learning and development; observing the children and giving feedback to the classroom teams, and contributing to review paperwork etc.

You will tach small groups in accordance with established policies and procedures. Whilst supervising the children, you will establish routines and boundaries to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children, ensuring that any safeguarding concerns are dealt with immediately following the School’s safeguarding procedures.

Candidates should have a HLTA qualification or be prepared to compete the necessary training. A Forest School qualification would also be an advantage

Duties to include;

  • Day to day organisation and delivery of Outdoor Learning lessons
  • In conjunction with the Outdoor learning lead to develop and plan the offer for pupils

These duties are additional to the standard job description/job spec.
