What skills and experience we're looking for

The role focuses upon supporting and developing the mental health and wellbeing of pupils, staff and parents.

You will be planning and leading sessions and ensuring that you plan for children’s individual curiosities, liaising with the classroom teams about the children’s learning and development; observing the children and giving feedback to the classroom teams, and contributing to review paperwork etc.

You will teach small groups in accordance with established policies and procedures. Whilst supervising the children, you will establish routines and boundaries to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children, ensuring that any safeguarding concerns are dealt with immediately following the School’s safeguarding procedures.

The role requires skills and knowledge of working with children with substantial additional challenges. Thrive Practitioner training and /or Mental Health & Wellbeing training will be an advantage

Duties will include;

  • Supporting pupils daily with well-being needs
  • Delivering bespoke support packages to pupils
  • Deliver and support the delivery of parent workshops as and when required
  • Support the pastoral team as and when required
  • Liaising and working closely with parents and carers
  • Working as part of the Therapy team across all sites and supporting each other
