Working pattern

Part time: Hours: 21 hours 45 minutes per week • 08:15 – 16:00 3 days per week (days to be confirmed during interview) • 30 minutes unpaid lunch break • Term Time only (39 weeks/ year)

Contract type

Fixed term - Temporary for this academic year (with potential for extension). 1st November 2026 – 31st August 2027.

Full time equivalent salary

£26,823.74 Pro Rata (please be aware this is the full time equivalent, not the actual salary)

Thank you for your interest in the role of Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) working for Brooke Hill Academy Trust providing cover across two of our schools (Edith Weston Academy and South Witham). We hope you will feel inspired to apply to be part of our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team to support our children with their learning.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Give support to pupils, individual or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
