Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
Saffron Green is a vibrant and inclusive primary school, proudly rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, at the heart of our community. We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of our children.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you will:
- Support and inspire pupils’ learning across the primary age range.
- Lead whole-class learning during teacher absence and provide targeted group and 1:1 support.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate engaging lessons.
- Assist in monitoring progress and supporting the social, emotional and academic development of pupils.
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school.
About You
We are seeking someone who:
- Holds HLTA status.
- Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Brings energy, creativity and a positive, nurturing approach.
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative and flexibility.
- Is passionate about helping every child reach their potential.
