Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Salary: up to £29,064 FTE (actual salary £25,221 per annum)
Contract Term: Permanent: Full time, term-time only (39 weeks). We will consider flexible working for the right candidate.

We are seeking an exceptional High Level Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and fulfil their potential. Some require additional support to help them develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and independence needed to achieve those goals. As our High Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every student can access an outstanding education, regardless of their starting point or individual needs.
This is far more than a support role. You will be a key member of our SEND team, working alongside the SENDCo, teachers, pastoral colleagues and families to ensure students receive the guidance, interventions and encouragement they need to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Your work will directly influence student outcomes, confidence and future success.
You won't simply provide support; you will:
- Make a significant contribution to students' learning, achievement and wellbeing
- Lead targeted small-group interventions that accelerate progress and build confidence
- Work alongside teachers to plan, adapt and deliver learning that meets diverse student needs
- Promote inclusion and ensure all students can fully participate in learning
- Support the evaluation of student progress through assessment and effective feedback
- Contribute to the successful operation of the SEND team and wider school communitSupport EHCP and MyPlan processes, helping students work towards meaningful outcomes
- Mentor and support colleagues within the SEND team
- Develop students' independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours Help young people gain the knowledge, skills and qualifications needed for successful futures
