What skills and experience we're looking for

Stradbroke is a vibrant learning community with approximately 500 pupils including a 78 place nursery and a 19 place Integrated Resource Unit. The school was inspected at the end of 2022 and was judged as a Good school in every measure. We are now looking to appoint somebody who can help us on our journey to becoming outstanding. We wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (H.L.T.A.) to work as part of our team. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy, enthusiasm and drive to join our team and work closely with staff to provide the most positive learning experience possible for all our pupils.

This post is suitable for experienced or recently qualified candidates. We expect the successful candidate to:

  • Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils across school.
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children.
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations. Seek to make learning exciting.
  • Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
  • Demonstrate effective feedback for pupils, both orally and written.
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
